About Thai Basil

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Springfield, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Illinois run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
The business lists hours on 1 day of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 AMβ9 PM. It is closed on Monday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (217) 525-7777. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, orderonlinehub.com.
Customers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Google across 491 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded thai restaurants in Springfield.
Springfield is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Springfield follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Nice spot to stop for lunch! They had a lunch menu with smaller portions and a very reasonable price. It comes with a soup and egg roll. They do not have gluten free soy sauce, but they were very kind and helpful in pointing out which menu items were made without gluten. Great service and the food was very good!

I got to say I was quite impressed with this place. I came to springfield for work so im not from the region. And I was craving some asian food. And let me tell you they did not disappoint The food is affordable and delightful. I got the steam dumplings and seafood baked rice. And every bite was savoring. The service was excellent. The atmosphere as a nice lofi music that makes it easy for book readers to enjoy a good warm meal and settle in. I highly recommend it

Thai Basil is a little hidden gem in a strip mall. You can not find a bad meal here. This is our favorite go to when we dont know what we want. Everything is fresh, hot, fast, delicious, and cheap! A rare combination of great food at a reasonable price. Uno noodle is my favorite here.

We get takeout more often than we dine in; the food is always fresh and hot, and the staff are helpful. Online ordering works, but itβs a hassle compared to calling on the phone if you know what you want. The style of the food is not the same as several other Thai/Asian restaurants in the area, so picky eaters may not recognize comfort foods like sweet βn sour chicken or even General Tso, but the various simple stir-fries with names like βBasil Dishβ, βLemongrass Dishβ, or βGinger Dishβ are light, filing, and delicious without heavy sauces. If you donβt ask for spice, the food will come with no heat, but hotter levels are available on request.
